1)소수와 다수의 両面을 直視하면서、소수자와 함께 서는 信仰共同体의 形成
2)「한몸」으로서의 信仰共同体:多様化한 在日社会・教会에 있어서의 共同体形成 (多様한 背景을 가진 KCCJ멤버間相互理解促進)
3)2重言語에 의한 礼拝를 가지는 意味
4)地域社会에 있어서 日本教会등의 協同 사역을 通해、在日外国人과 日本人의 共生을 위해 사역하는 教会形成

3.100周年宣教宣言
○日本・韓国・아시아・世界教会에、KCCJ가 200周年을 향해、어떤 비젼을 가지고 대처할 것인가 하는 宣教姿勢를 提示。
○2007年에 発表될 비젼을 받아 作成하고、宣教100周年記念大会時에 発表한다。

1.募金対象
①KCCJ内
②韓国:宣教協約을 맺은 教団을 중심으로
③日本: 日本基督教団、日本キリスト教会를 中心으로
④PCC나 UCC、UCA、KPCA、NKPC、旧JNAC諸教会등
⑤기타 宣教協力団体
2.期間:開始 2006年頃으로、2008年10月에 어느 程度의 金額을 모으도록 。
Ⅵ.組織形成
○100周年実行委員会:100周年事業全体를 統括한다。
○Ⅱ의 各行事를 推進하기 위해 委員会를 둔다。
1)宣教100周年記念大会実行委員会:아 委員会 아래 感謝碑・感謝状担当部会를 둔다。
2)合同修養会実行委員会
3)宣教協議会実行委員会:総会事務局을 中心으로 조직한다。
○Ⅲ의 ①標語는 神学考試委員会、Ⅲ의 ②비젼은「作成委員会」가 担当한다。
○ Ⅳ의 『宣教100周年誌』는 「歴史編纂委員会」、「在日讃美歌(어린이讃美歌포함)」은 「讃美歌委員会」가 担当한다。
○ 「10年計画事業」을 위해 「10年計画事業推進委員会」를 둔다。
○ V는 「募金委員会」가 그 実施에 責任을 가진다。
○ 後援会:韓国・日本・北米各関係教派・団体의 代表로 構成한다。

Part 1: Worship Service

Part 3: 100th Anniversary Reception * Special efforts will be made to involve children, youth, and young adults of KCCJ. * Special recognition will be made to individuals and organizations who have contributed their talents and resources to KCCJ mission activities
2) Denomination-Wide Joint Retreat (August 2008)
3) Ecumenical Consultation on Cooperative Mission (October 2007): * Includes the 7 church organizations in Korea and other partner churches with which KCCJ has a covenant agreement. (There is a possibility to include ecumenical groups such as World Council of Churches (WCC), and National Christian Conference in Japan (NCCJ) if needed). * Because of the 100th anniversary of KCCJ mission activities, the purpose is to strengthen and develop further the cooperative relationship with these denominations and organizations
4) Host of 2008 Council on Korean Church for Education and Ministry (COKCEM)
5) Events on the local level (not necessarily conducted only in 2008, but included as part of the overall 100th anniversary commemoration program.) Ex. New Year’s Vacation Bible School program, Annual Christian Retreats

➃ Analysis of the present-day context
1. The KCCJ’s theme / motto (➀ above) for the next decade will be developed with the basis on its vision (➁ above). *The key words under consideration are “Unity”, “Co-Existence”, “Reconciliation”, and “Peace”
2. Vision on Mission (Strategy, Policy and Ideology) *By October 2007, a booklet of KCCJ’s vision on mission will be published. *The vision will be based upon the following documents and issues as well as the present-day context ➃ above.
(1) Mission Policy (1973)
(2) Mission Ideology (1988)
(3) The Current Characteristics of KCCJ (Report from the 90th Anniversary Committee and Committee on Theology)
(4) Issues toward the 100th Anniversary
1) KCCJ as a minority church to create a community standing up for all minorities, facing its own character as majority as well as that as minority.
2) KCCJ as a unified body to form a united community in a diverse Korean society and church in Japan
3) To conduct bilingual worship services in Korean and Japanese
4) To build up the church for co-existence of foreigners and Japanese through mutual cooperation with Japanese churches in the local community
5) Mission of KCCJ as a servant for reconciliation – Reconciliation of the Korean Peninsula – Reconciliation of Japan and Korea (both North and South) – Reconciliation among Koreans in Japan divided on North/South issues – Reconciliation of Koreans in Japan and Japanese people
6) To promote the affirmation of the ethnic identity of children, youth and young adults 7) To encourage young adults and women to participate in the decision- making process of KCCJ
8) Substantialization of ideals of KCCJ as “uniting church” and the positive application of these characteristics
3. 100 Year Mission Statement of KCCJ *KCCJ will present its mission vision to the churches in Japan, Korea, Asia and the world towards its bicentennial (200 years) *The vision statement will be created with the basis on the mission vision published in 2007, and will be presented formally at the 100th anniversary commemoration (on October 13, 2008.)
4. Analysis of present-day context
➀ World (1) Spread of Globalization in the area of economics and culture as well as militarization, especially over-concentration of US military control
➁ Korean Peninsula (1) Issue of reunification of Korean Peninsula (2) Reference to areas of Korea being more democratic or more conservative
➂ Japan (1) Seriousness of social anxiety, militarization, and surveillance-socialization (2) Seriousness of discrimination and exclusive prejudice, and growth of neo-nationalism movement (3) Friendly feelings toward South Korea in contrast to hostility toward North Korea due to abduction issue
➃ Communities of Foreigners in Japan and Koreans in Japan (1) Residing of migrant workers and other foreigners in Japan permanently (2) Diversification on nationality, legal status, and identity among Koreans in Japan (3) Phenomena of aging society of Koreans in Japan
➄ Korean Church in Japan (1) Diversification of consciousness and background among members (2) Koreans in Japan make up the majority of the aging membership
IV. 100th Anniversary Commemoration Projects
1. Publication of KCCJ 100-year Mission History
2. Decade Planning (2008~2018)
➀ Formation of Mission Research Center Purposes as follows:
(1) Continuous research and analysis on the way of mission and the plan for its implementation to meet issues of Koreans in Japan whose ancestors came to Japan before World War II, “newcomer Koreans” who came to Japan from the 1980s and other foreigners in Japan
1) Search and practice of an evangelism approach to meet the needs of diversified Koreans in Japan
2) To understand the actual conditions toward the aged community within KCCJ, and make a policy and implement it
3) Study and practice of contemporary worship service in the dual language
4) Publication of a book on the Christian lifestyle with special concentration on ceremonial occasions such as funerals and weddings.
(2) Education 1) Improvement of Church-school Textbook and specialization and continualization of the professional group for making the Textbook 2) To make a handbook for Church-school teachers 3) Human rights education to abolish all type of violence such as gender and sexual discrimination 4) To create Christian education and programs to help children to develop their ethnic identity 5) Publication of hymnal for Children’s Church school
(3) To create proposals for making the mission cooperative relationships with churches in Japan and abroad concrete
(4) To collect, research and analyze resources on history of KCCJ
(5) For the work involved in the creation of Korean in Japan culture 1) To compose hymns for Koreans in Japan 2) To make a network among Koreans in Japan
(6) Building a Mission Center 1) Combined facilities for Mission Research Center, General Assembly Office and Seminary in one location 2) Gathering place for young adults
➁ Improving KCCJ Seminary
(1) Need of a building
(2) To maintain and upgrade library resources
(3) Continuing education of graduates
(4) To substantialize the education (KCCJ theology, and history and social situation of Koreans in Japan) for the missionaries received by KCCJ and those who graduated from the other seminaries
(5) Mission center where ministers can do theological reflection
(6) Cooperation from churches in Korean and North America    1) Support of dispatching lecturers and speakers 2) Opening/hosting seminars in Korea concerning the situation of Koreans in Japan and KCCJ theology
(7) Establishing the theology of KCCJ 1) Development of theology for Koreans in Japan 2) Liberation theology for those who are diasporas such as migrant workers in globalization 3) To establish the “sojourner theology” that makes others master and ourselves servants in the situation that the number of the permanent residents is increasing in Japan
➂ Leadership Development
(1) Pastors 1) Train persons to be pastors who are rooted in the Korean community in Japan 2) Developing a knowledge of languages both on Korean and Japanese 3) Increasing the opportunities for study of theology and training on mission
(2) Lay leadership 1) Increasing the occasions of study for church elders 2) Encouraging ecumenical experiences through activities of youth, young adults and women
(3) Leadership of Korean society in Japan 1) Support for creating the culture for Koreans in Japan 2) Developing the people who contribute to Korean society in Japan (4) To build a “Center of Koreans in Japan” in Korea (Seoul) 1) Includes a dormitory for Koreans in Japan who go to Korea to study 2) Contact point between KCCJ and students through Bible studies, etc
➃100 self-supporting churches and their improvement
(1) Positive application of diversified membership
(2) Improving church barrier-free access for the aged society
(3) Improving the church’s role as a local center (
4) Introduce awareness programs to change the church in order that young adults, women, and laypersons can participate in decision-makings and developing worship services
➄ Strengthening local activity centers
(1) Strengthening activities of Research-Action Institute for Koreans in Japan (RAIK) in Tokyo and Korean Christian Center (KCC) in Osaka
(2) Building up Seinan KCC V. Fund-Raising Activities 1) Campaigns (1) KCCJ (2) Korea: Associated partner church groups
(3) Japan: mainly, United Church of Christ in Japan, and Church of Christ in Japan
(4) Global: former JNAC members (i.e. PCC, UCC, UMC, RCA, PCUSA, CGMB) the Korean Presbyterian Church in America (KPCA), NCKPC,etc.
(5) Other covenant partners, etc. 2) Term for the fund-raising campaign: Starting in 2006 and hoping to receive many contributions and pledges of a substantial amount by October 2008. VI. Organization
* Executive committee supervises the 100th Anniversary projects.
* Organizing committees to carry out Part II activities for 100th Anniversary Celebration Events
1)100th anniversary committee : Under this committee’s supervision there will be sub-committees for expressions of appreciation such as plaques, certificates and letters
2) United Retreat Committee will be responsible for planning that event.
3) Mission Cooperation Committee will be organized within the General Assembly office of KCCJ * Committee on theology is responsible for theme of III-1.
* Vision Creating Committee is responsible for III-2
* History Committee is responsible for IV-1.
* Decade project committee is responsible for Decade Plan.
* Fund-raising committee is responsible for Part V.
